Making your purchase
Chemistry Stores requires a University of Iowa MFK (Master File Key) or a U-Bill for all transactions.
We require a full length MFK number (42 digits). Most MFKs are provided in the format below. The number of X’s indicates the layout of the numerical digits. MFKs can be provided in various formats. Please contact your supervisor or accounting services if you have questions about what MFK you need to use & how to use it.

Chemistry Stores customers are issued a checkout express card that is tied to their primary MFK number.
If you would like to use Chemistry Stores, please reach out to Chemistry Stores management at chem-stores@uiowa.edu to be issued a checkout card.
Verifying your order
All customers will receive an email receipt. Please verify on your receipt that we are using the MFK & your items were charged out as expected. If you have questions about updating the MFK tied to your checkout card or have questions about your order reach out to Chemistry Stores Management.

Return policy
- Items that are purchased from Chemistry Stores can be returned within 15 days of the original purchase.
- Items need to be in their original packaging.
- Defective items are eligible for replacement.

Updating your checkout card
If you have a new MFK number or would like to update your checkout card MFK at any time we are happy to assist you. Please notify our staff members or email Chemistry Stores Management to get your card updated. We will try to get it updated within 72 hours.
Replacing a lost card
If you lose your Chemistry Stores checkout card you can receive a replacement by providing your name, MFK, or a photo of your checkout card to a Chemistry Stores employee.
If Chemistry Stores management is out for the day your new card will be issued when they return.
