Dishan Das (Margulis group) received the Best Poster Award at ACS Physical Division at the ACS National Fall 2026 meeting this past week in Chicago. Congratulations, Dishan!

A team of researchers from the University of Iowa and the University of Colorado Boulder recently explored what happens to the chemicals in personal care products after they wash down the drain or evaporate into the air.

Despite the current challenging environment in obtaining critical external research funding, we are very happy for our faculty who have recently received new grants to support their research programs. Many of these are multi-year awards and support numerous students in our degree programs. These new research grants collectively total $2.3M.

11 undergraduate students participate in internships abroad in summer 2026, thanks to support from the Dr. Ken Magid Scholarship. The fund was established by the late Linda Baker (BA English ’68) in memory of her former mentor, author and child behaviorist Dr. Kenneth Magid.
