Shelley Minteer, University of Iowa alumna, and current professor of analytical, biological, and materials chemistry at the University of Utah, has received a $20 million grant from the NSF in her role as Director for The Center for Synthetic Organic Electrochemistry (CSOE)

One of the primary goals of the CSOE is to improve the safety and sustainability in the chemical manufacturing process. She was recently featured in the University of Utah's "Discover" newsletter, the full article is linked below.

Minteer holds the Dale and Susan Poulter Chair in Biological Chemistry, as well as the position of Director of the U's Center for Synthetic Organic Electrotherapy. She is a former member of the Johna Leddy Group in the University of Iowa Department of Chemistry.

Minteer has been added to a series of lectures called "Frontiers of Science", where she will focus on how nature is the solution to chemistry problems.
