The Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce that Pere Miro and Bess Vlaisavljevich will join the faculty as associate professors beginning this summer.

Miro graduated with a BS in Chemistry from Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona, Spain in 2005 and received an MA and Ph.D. in Chemistry from Universitat Rovira i Virgili (Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia) in 2010, and is a theoretical and computational chemist.
=Vlaisavljevich received her BA from the University of Minnesota-Morris in 2007 and her MA and Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in 2013. She also performed postdoctoral research at the University of California-Berkeley (2013-2015) and Northwestern University (2015-2017), and is a computational and physical chemist.
