A Great Summer for Chemistry Research Grant Success

Despite the current challenging environment in obtaining critical external research funding, we are very happy for our faculty who have recently received new grants to support their research programs. Many of these are multi-year awards and support numerous students in our degree programs. These new research grants collectively total $2.3M.
Chemistry student awarded Dr. Ken Magid Scholarship to intern abroad

11 undergraduate students participate in internships abroad in summer 2026, thanks to support from the Dr. Ken Magid Scholarship. The fund was established by the late Linda Baker (BA English ’68) in memory of her former mentor, author and child behaviorist Dr. Kenneth Magid.
Florence Williams Promoted to Associate Professor
