The Nanoscience and Nanotechnology Institute at the University of Iowa (NNI@UI) is pleased to announce that Dr. Amanda Haes, an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, has been appointed as an Associate Director.  She joins the co-directors, Dr. Sarah Larsen and Dr. Vicki Grassian, also of the Department of Chemistry. "Dr. Haes has been an active member of NNI since it was formed in 2006 and we look forward to working with her in her new leadership role in advancing interdisciplinary nanoscience research on the UI campus," states Dr. Larsen.

The mission of NNI@UI is to provide a venue where researchers from all disciplines of science and engineering can come together to share ideas and discuss their views and prospects of nanoscience, nanoengineering, nanomedicine and nanotechnology.  More information can be found here.
